Network

Basketball Solutions connectivity is provided by Beyond the Network. Beyond the Network (BtN) is a subsidary of Hong Kong's PCCW. The company operates a legacy-free network offering end-to-end solutions in the United States, Germany, the UK, and Hong Kong. The company acquired Ardent Communications in May, 2002.

Beyond the Network is a legacy-free top tier Internet backbone provider, offering IP-based end-to-end communications solutions over its own global native IP Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)-enabled network. It is a a wholly owned subsidiary of PCCW. BtN is privately and publicly interconnected with over 120 networks including the major Internet backbone networks at multiple Internet exchanges and network access points (NAP).

Unlike traditional legacy networks, where the "one port, one product" rule prevails, the BtN Multi-Service IP Port provides carriers, ISP's, ICP's and enterprise customers the ability to access multiple products through one single port, thereby increasing their cost-efficiency, scalability and competitiveness within their market.

BtN acquired the network infrastructure assets of Ardent Communications in May 2002. BtN successfully bid in an auction through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to acquire the Ardent network infrastructure assets. Under the asset purchase agreement, BtN, based in Reston, VA, acquired some of Ardent's customers and network equipment. Ardent's original name was CAIS Internet.

The BtN Internet backbone encompasses 32 major cities across the world. The company uses Cisco routers across the backbone. BtN operates two different Network Operation Centers (NOCs), one in Ashburn, VA and one in Hong Kong.
